Tonya, Ryver, Brett, Nikole, and I took some time Wednesday to hike to the top of Pulpit Rock in Colorado Springs. This is a very easy hike and there are many more miles of trail in the Pulpit Rock trail system that we did not go on but the hike to the top of the rock itself is very short, probably just over a mile one way. It gets a little tough at the end, just before the summit. If you want a view of Colorado Springs from the middle of town, this is a great place to go. The trail head is right near I25 and the North Nevada on ramp. Go down Nevada like you are getting on the highway. Take a right just before the exit ramp by the Harley Davidson dealership. Follow the frontage road left, basically following the highway on ramp. There is a small parking lot there. Be careful not to block the private driveway of the Colorado Springs Utilities. Here are a few pictures from our afternoon.
Do you Ever Just feel stuck in a rut?
Ryver made it a little difficult to see my way down from the rock.
